Melbourne C Powell
Founder & Director – Bright Path Community Services (CIC)

Melbourne C. Powell is the Founder and Director of Bright Path Community Services (CIC), bringing a strong foundation in leadership, care, and community development. He served five years in the British Army, where he developed discipline, structure, and a values-driven approach that underpins the ethos of Bright Path.

Following his military service, Melbourne spent over ten years in the health and social care sector, supporting individuals and families with complex and diverse needs. This experience has shaped Bright Path’s person-centred, trauma-informed approach, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, dignity, and empowerment.

Melbourne has successfully led and delivered multiple community projects, including health expos, homelessness support initiatives, and outreach programmes designed to reduce barriers to essential services. These projects reflect Bright Path’s mission to strengthen communities, promote independence, and provide practical support where it is needed most.

Under Melbourne’s leadership, Bright Path Community Services operates as a Community Interest Company, reinvesting income into free and accessible services for the community. His combined experience in the military, healthcare, and community sectors ensures the organisation delivers structured, compassionate, and high-quality support that creates lasting positive change.
